The pause is over.

Construction on the Bellisseria continent sort of paused back in June after SL17B, but things have ramped up again and its been exciting to see the beautiful new areas that are coming to life before our eyes.

The first place created on the region Rigamarole.

A fantastic waterfall and stone walkway down to a water rez zone was the first place created on the region now named Rigamarole. Do some exploring and you may find Abnor Mole’s secret breakroom.

Another angle of the Rigamarole waterfall.

Walking up the stone stairway at Rigamarole, you will find an awesome path to the log home area.

Further down the coast…

After rezzing your boat on Rigamarole, sail east along the log home coast where you will find the Boat Bar. There is another rez zone conveniently accessible and another hiking path with huge creaking pine trees leading up to the top of the cliffs and the log home areas.

The Boat Bar serves a variety of refreshments to tide you over on your journey.
The Boat Bar is a great place to hang out for a while.

After you fill up on kebabs, cheese sandwiches and tiki bar drinks at the Boat Bar, your journey continues east along the coast.

Another beautiful waterfall with a surprise at the top.

The next waterfall is just as spectacular as the one on Rigamarole, but with a different surprise at the top.

Rock tunnel along the log home road.

A new-to-Bellisseria feature at the top of this waterfall is a rock tunnel! The water spray over the bridge and the rock tunnel are outstanding and fun to drive through!

Yet another spectacular waterfall.

Continuing east you will pass yet another spectacular waterfall. On this day it was still under construction and had not been landscaped yet.

The Lighthouse point.

Turning north along the log coast you will pass the Lighthouse point. Another convenient water rez zone, a gathering area at the top of the cliff and another fantastic waterfall are all features you will find here. The residents who score one of the log homes next to this feature will be very lucky!

Another rock tunnel!

And so the creation of Bellisseria continues. Traveling northward, there is another area where the road passes through another rock tunnel and steeply descends down to another water rez zone. It was still under construction at the time of this blog post.

As we traveled, we noted the many, many great log home locations overlooking the steep cliffs. We wondered what will those adjacent regions become? Is this where the stilt home regions will be placed? Time will tell…happy travels and exploring everyone!

One thing to note as we made our way along the log home coast: if your watercraft is very large, the inside corners where the regions meet is a very small, tight space and may pose a region-crossing problem while negotiating that turn, so be forewarned.

The waiting game

The newest Linden home theme has been revealed during SL17B and as usual, the Moles have hit a grand slam. Waterfront, on the water, near water, beside water are all features that seem to appeal to 99% of residents looking for a Linden Home and these are all about the water. However, as much as everyone is excited about this new theme, we are told we will have to wait until late fall at the earliest, to try to grab one. Happy waiting!

Three “versions” will be all on the beach, half on the beach and half in the water, and totally over water.
Four styles of home are available, these are 100% on land.
Boardwalks and small areas of sandy beach with palm trees evoke the Florida Keys.
Palm trees swaying in the breeze…a cold drink in hand…and a dramatic sunset…doesn’t get any better!
Slide open the doors and bring the outdoors and the warm salty air inside.

Randelsham Forest Treehouse

Welcome to the newest community place on Bellisseria: Randelsham Treehouse. The treehouse features two hanging chairs on the balcony, lots of snacks, a large separate deck with more seating, a ridable bubble rezzer, a rez zone on the water, several ziplines, a train depot next to the SLRR and plenty of explorable square meters. The Moles have outdone themselves once again.

Oh the things we can see…

Oh, the places you’ll go!
“You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You’re on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…”
~ Dr. Seuss

In case you haven’t already wandered around Bellisseria (what are you waiting for???) here are just a few things you might see as you take a stroll…

Go dawg! Go!
Our eyes see so many, many things!
Are you my mother?
The Grinch’s heart grew three sizes that day!
One fish, two fish…From near to far, from here to there, funny things are everywhere.

Trashy pandas

Just another normal evening in the Belli ‘hood, wandering around as a raccoon, looking for a quick snacko…

In case you still haven’t looked outside your latest trad/camper/houseboat/vic/log home acquisition, you are missing some fine dining out there! Tucked away in all the convenient spots, you will find sandwiches, pie, lemonade, picnic baskets, coffee, more sandwiches, (did I already mention pie?) and great places to hang out with your friends! Grab your bestie and go!

Pie, donuts and coffee at The Lodge in Campwich Forest
More pie at The Lodge!! Did I mention there is pie?!
Sandwiches everywhere! This is on Soggy Shore.
You never know who you will run into! Eagle brother from another mother! New log homes going in right here!
Nothing to eat up here, but the view! WOW! This is Yew Betcha.
Speaking of The Lodge, there are now game tables there on the big deck!

Rare nature sightings

Guest narrator: David Attenborough

Spotted deep in the natural forests of the Linden Home logging area is the very rare and critically endangered nesting snowplow, seen here guarding its young at the top of a sturdy sequoia tree. This species is known for its rare ability to blend in with its surroundings, even though it is indeed…a snowplow.

Stuff to see

… and things to do. That’s been the main idea behind all those freakin’ landmarks I gather and offer to everyone who cares to grab them from the Bellisseria Citizens group notices.

One of the things I really dig about Bellisseria is the immense detail that the Moles have created for our pleasure. I have been told by Moles and Lindens over and over how much they love hearing how their work enhances our experience.

Take for instance the fireflies. Woot! Bugs! Awesome! Garden Mole has given us this neat little detail, but… yes, there’s a but… but you can only see them during “night” of the default day cycle – that also means you can see them several times during a 24 period! So while you are waiting for your game-of-homes-abandon-time-out to be over, wander around and look for fireflies!

Dude is gonna attempt this…

So… it was suggested to me by a good friend in SL to start a blog about the Linden Home continent called Bellisseria.

Being as I am not a Linden, or a Mole, or anybody special for that matter, I am not going to attempt to prognosticate about how this whole thing is being rolled out. That’s their business. I think they are doing a damn fine job, but that’s just my humble opinion.

I guess my only qualification is that I am an actual resident of Bellisseria. Also, for some strange reason I decided to take up the task of creating lists of landmarks of some interesting (to me and hopefully to you) spots on Belli. I am very familiar with most of the continent because of my wandering all over, corner to corner, north, south, east and west. The place is huge and getting huger by the day.

What I am going to try to do here is share my experiences, in the hopes that you all can see all that this amazing place – Bellisseria, has to offer. I will show you some stuff I found, share with you some stuff I did, introduce you to some people I met and some other stuff you might be interested in. Maybe it will make you smile, inspire you and give you something to do when you are bored.

So sit back and let’s see what I can come up with, shall we?

How’d you get in here?

That’s what you get for clicking that…

So I started this blogging thing again. It’s been quite a while since I last blogged. I am not even sure if people still blog. I mean, I think people who are hardcore Instagrammers and such are bloggers but to do it this way, with actual words…do people do that anymore?

Why am I doing this?

  • I have to wrangle all the mess going on in my head every minute of the day when it’s not focused on other shit.
  • Because I like writing and I’m a natural over-analyzer.

I have a long history with blogging and I wish I had kept previous blogs but it is what it is. I had some real trophy posts back in the day…
